Going over your mailbox limit

Note: The following announcement does not apply to the ECCS Cloud Email.

There is a limit to the size of each user's mailbox. the limit for the ECCS Staff Email and MailHosting service is 1 GB (it is possible for the domain administrators to change the limit for the MailHosting service).

You can check how much space is assigned to your mailbox and how much you have already used by looking at the following area highlighted by the red arrow on the initial screen after you log in to the Web mail of the MailSuite.

Once you have reached the limit of your mailbox, no further emails will be received and over quota message will be returned to the sender.

The following message will be automatically sent to the user from the mail system before the limit is reached as well as after the limit has been reached.

Note: When the message is sent depends on the setting each domain.

Subject: [Mail Quota Warning] Your mailbox is about to reach its limit

You are receiving this message since your mailbox size is reaching to the allocated quota.
You are not using ##usage _pct#% of total disk space given to you and you have ##free_size ##MB of free space remaining in your mailbox.

Please reduce your disk usage as you may not receive emails once your mailbox is full.

Please make sure to "Empty" your Trash folder to remove the deleted emails, since emails in Trash folder are also counted toward your quota.

After reaching the limit

Subject: [Mail Quota Warning] Your mailbox is full

This is a notice that your mailbox is over the allocated quota.

You cannot receive emails while the mailbox is over the quota.

Please delete some emails to make room for new emails.

Please make sure to "Empty" your Trash folder to permanently erase deleted emails, since emails in Trash folder are also counted toward your disk quota.
