From the 2020 academic year, students who take a leave of absence from the university will continue to be able to use the ECCS related services.

Details

Up to the end of the 2019 academic year, use of ECCS was suspended and ECCS related services became unavailable to students on a leave of absence from the university. From the 2020 academic year, students taking a leave of absence will continue to be able to use the ECCS related services as before, similar to when they were at the university.

＊Exception was that access to the ECCS Cloud Email has been available.

Points to be updated are as follows.

• Use of ECCS will not be suspended even if students take a leave of absence
• Use of ECCS will become available to students already on leave of absence
• Students who obtained permission of use from their academic supervisor or administrative staff in charge of academic affairs may continue to use ECCS as before.
• Submission of the specific application (ECCS休学利用申請書(代理)) becomes unavailable (there will be no need to submit the application)
• There will be no need to take steps even if the period of absence extends into the following academic year
  
  

The contents of the announcement “Use of ECCS during a leave of absence" is valid until the end of the 2019 academic year.
