Creating a Google Classroom

You should already have been able to use Google Classroom with your ECCS Cloud Email account (XXXX@g.ecc.u-tokyo.ac.jp). However, only those who have participated as a “teacher” with the account from the start could create a new class when using Google Classroom. If you had participated as a "student" at any time you had to ask the system administrator to make the changes.

As the number of users who use not only ITC-LMS but also Google Classroom this year is increasing, and as it is inconvenient that only the "teacher" can create a class when it is also used for group learning, etc., changes have been made so anyone with an ECCS Cloud Email account will be able to create a new class from 11:50, May 7th. Please note that it can take up to 24 hours for the change to be reflected to the entire system.

When creating a class, please try to give the class a name that makes it easy for participants to distinguish it from other classes. Since it is possible to create classes with the same name, users participating in these classes may find it difficult to distinguish them.
