All students are required to take the ECCS Online New User Information Seminar to use the Educational Campus-wide Computing System (ECCS). In the past, all new first-year students in the Junior Division had to take the ECCS New User Information Seminar during the introductory guidance for new students up until the 2018 academic year.
However, we understand that knowledge from “the ECCS Online New User Information Seminar” is already recognized, therefore, we have decided that the seminar for all new first-year students during the introductory guidance will no longer be conducted.
New first-year students will be able to take the “ECCS Online New User Information Seminar” using their UTokyo Account received during the introductory guidance (March 28 for Natural Sciences, March 29 for Humanities and Social Sciences in the 2019 academic year). Please make sure to change your initial password before taking the seminar.
The ECCS Online New User Information Seminar will be available on the personal computers and mobile phones through the Internet. You can take the seminar on an ECCS terminal only if you have earphones. During the coming Spring break (from March 28 to April 4), ECCS terminals in the study room and the Large PC rooms in the Information Education Building will be available. System assistants (tutors) will also be available to assist students not only in the study room but also in the Large PC rooms.
