The user's home directory capacity (not including Google Drive for ECCS Cloud Email) in the ECCS2021 is limited to 8GB for students and 18GB for academic and administrative staff, similar to the ECCS2016. The Information Technology Center copied the user's home directory when transitioning from the ECCS2016 to ECCS2021. However, due to the difference in the file server used between ECCS2016 and ECCS2021, even when the same folders and same files are included, there is a difference of a few percent in the disk usage calculated by the system.

For this reason, users who were using the home directory in ECCS2016 close to its limiting value may experience a problem of taking 5 minutes or more to log in when using ECCS2021 for the first time due to excessive disk usage.

Currently, it is not possible to check your disk usage due to a bug in the ECCS portal [ECCS portal]“Check the amount of your file usage” does not work”. If you are using ECCS2016 close to the limit of your home directory and when using ECCS 2021 have symptoms that seems to be a problem due to excessive disk usage, we request that you delete unnecessary files using the WebDAV environment or SSH server.

We apologize for any inconvenience caused by the problem of the ECCS portal [ECCS portal]“Check the amount of your file usage” does not work”.
